Reasons why a Student/Parent may request an appointment with the

School Counselor

The Belle Chasse High School counselors offer each student opportunities for individual and small group counseling. Some topics students may want to talk about are listed below.

  • Academics (i.e., graduation Plan, grades, tutoring, etc.)
  • College Planning (i.e., college applications, scholarships, info, etc.)
  • Career (i.e., area of concentration/career pathway, job shadowing, volunteer work, etc.)
  •  Incident at School (i.e., teasing or bulling, conflict with friends or teachers)
  •  Personal Issues (i.e., sadness, anger management, social skills)
  •  Situation at Home (i.e., divorce, abuse, conflict with parents/siblings, illness, death)
  • Transition Issues (i.e., new to BCHS, moving to a different location)
  •  Other (anything you need to talk about not listed above)

Students wishing to speak with a counselor should go the counselors' office and request a "purple" form. Parents may request appointments by calling 504-595-6600. Please allow 24 hours response time during peak school periods throughout the year.
