* Vocabulary Quiz over words and genres taught this week
* Finish "Marigolds" questions (Pg. 10 and 11 in packet) 
* Finish graphic organizer (Page 23 in packet) - You must have 1 quote in each box for the graphic organizer and the quote must be written correctly. Example: Lizabeth's tone was assertive as she explained how she "leaped furiously into the mounds of marigolds and pulled madly" (Collier 8). 
* Complete partner essay - Answer the writing prompt on Pg. 24 of the packet with a partner.
 (For those of you who do not know how to write a partner essay, open a Google Document and share it with your partner by typing in his/her email address. You can both type in the essay at the same time - Please put both names at the top of the essay) 
You should have at least 2 paragraphs. The first paragraph must include a TAG (Title, Author, GIST) and a thesis statement. You must use at least 2 pieces of textual evidence in the 2nd paragraph. Make sure you use transition words and a concluding statement. (Use the attached template)
