Work on Argumentative Essay 
- Remember to begin with a hook, followed by a TAG, and then a thesis statement giving 2-3 specific reasons why the book should or should not be taught. 
- Body paragraphs must begin with topic sentences and contain at least 2 pieces of textual evidence from different sources (Quotes must have correct lead-ins and citations)
- You must use transition words to connect the paragraphs
- Conclusion must restate the prompt and provide new insight to why the novel should or should not be taught. 
- Works Cited page must include the sources you included in your essay. (The sources and structure are in the Google Stream)

Once you are finished, turn it in to Paperrater for feedback, edit and revise. 
Submit the final copy to Turnitin.com by Sunday night at 11:59 PM.

- Begin introductory letter (must handwrite planning and introductory paragraph - paragraph must have editing marks to show revisions)
- Once planning sheet has been edited, begin final copy. (Final must be typed in Google Docs using Times New Roman, Double Spacing and 12 font. 
-Submit rough draft to PaperRater.com
- Begin  Commonit Diagnostic Assessment (Due Monday)


**For Introductory Letter, quarantined students can take pictures of the rough draft/planning and send them in with the Google Doc for today. The final copy must be submitted to Turnitin.com

- Watch Introductory Power Point and sign into Remind. . 
- Read and fill out class syllabus (signed paper is due on Monday at the beginning of class)
- Ice Breaker Activity (BINGO) 
- Complete Introductory shoe (You must give complete sentences and shoe must be colored)
- Read Introductory Letter from teacher to student & write a letter back (letter is due on Wednesday at the beginning of class). You must follow ALL directions. Please see all of the attachments.
